A Sweet Taste of Spring! 04/23/2006
Second grade students at the Gilford Butler School in South Thomaston were selected to participate in a "Maple Sugar Taffy Pull" at their school because of their teacher Pam Walton, who encouraged her students to "Go to the Conway Homstead and sample maple syrup and try pulling taffy! during the Annual Maine Maple Syrup Sunday Activities." The 22 students, paired up, greased up and began the"taffy tug of war" Comment ranged from "yummy! to "Yuck"
